Supervisor: Client Services Coordinator and Houseparent
Assistant Houseparent Intern will assist the Houseparent with daily tasks for the day-to-day operations of the home, and activities of the pregnant young women residing in the household. This position demands someone that can handle stressful situations, and exhibits great maturity and healthy boundaries.
You will learn and experience:
• Assist with overseeing resident daily activities, maintaining rules and regulations, chores and activities.
• Assist with escorting residents to appointments and trips away from the facility. This is a shared task between many of the FHM staff and volunteers.
• Follow program schedules, such as church attendance, meal planning, food shipping, fire drills, and room inspection and keep accurate records.
• Assist the Houseparent with daily progress notes, including medical and behavioral information on the clients.
• Maintain a positive Christian atmosphere in the home that magnifies the mission of Foundation House Ministries.

Supervisor: Executive Director
The Grant Writing Intern will be responsible for seeking new opportunities to secure funding for Foundation House Ministries. The intern will assist with researching, writing, coordinating, and managing all of the aspects of government, foundation, and corporate grants. This is also a great opportunity to participate in critical areas of fundraising, an experience which is central to all nonprofit organizations.
You will learn and experience:
• Find and research new sources of funding that serve as a good fit with FHM’s mission and values.
• Write and edit grants
• Coordinate and manage the grant application process
• Attend grant information sessions as necessary
• Seek new and creative fund development opportunities; put a process in place to take advantage of those opportunities
• Assist in fundraising events
• Research and write development materials.

Supervisor: Office Manager
You will learn and experience:
• The Intern will work directly with the leadership team to help with the daily running of the FHM program. The internship will include assisting the Office Manager and Executive Director with event planning, creating/updating the database, assisting with scheduling everyday business tasks or completing special projects. Will also assist Client Services Coordinator with routine clerical work, maintaining forms and files and assisting clients as needed with scheduling appointments.
• You must be able to effectively work with a strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism. You should possess good verbal and written communication skills. We expect that you show excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. The intern must be able to think creatively or out-of-the-box and be able to manage a project with goals and deadlines.

Reports to: Executive Director and or Client Services Coordinator
• We are looking for an Intern to assist with our social media marketing efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of our ministry and help make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts.
• You must have experience with social media. This intern must be able to think strategically and see how social media fits into our marketing strategy (i.e. building relationships, connecting with donors, and updating the community). Our main goal is to connect us with young ladies that may need our services and to connect us with other organizations who work with at risk pregnant women.
• Interns must be able to assist in formulating social media plans (with our guidance), and then carry them out (with our assistance). You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact. You must be able to multitask, think creatively and exhibit great writing skills. Should be familiar or able to learn to create and utilize surveys to gather data as to the effectiveness of our social media presence in the community and to specific target groups.
You will learn and experience:
• Creating/updating our profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
• Keeping up-to-date with new social media sites as they become popular.
• Finding users to follow/friend/like our business
Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/and updates as directed by the Executive Director and or Client Services Coordinator or Office Manager.
• Replying to comments, messages etc., and report findings to the Executive Director and or Client Services Coordinator.
• Consistently learn and grow while asking pertinent questions
• Offer suggestions and education to staff and team regarding social media.
• Be able to articulate to the clients in a classroom type setting on the pros and cons of using social media. (how to use responsibly and without conflict or drama )

Position per Semester: Two-three
Reports to: Executive Director
We are looking for an Intern to assist with our social enterprise startup efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of starting a small business and be a productive part of our overall marketing efforts.
You must have experience with business management and/or startups. This intern must be able to think strategically. Our main goal is to A) provide a steady revenue stream to the finance ministry and, B) provide opportunities for clients to gain hands-on job experience.
• Interns must be able to assist in formulating social media plans (with our guidance), and then carry them out (with our assistance). You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact. You must be able to multitask, think creatively and exhibit great writing skills. Should be familiar or able to learn to create and utilize surveys to gather data as to the effectiveness of our social media presence in the community and to specific target groups.
You will learn and experience:
• Research and develop business marketing plans
• Research and develop networking relationships with vendors, donors, customers, etc
•Research and develop budget and expense plan
•Coordinate marketing/advertising campaign(s)
• Experience bookkeeping and “back-office” human resources duties
